FxPro Financial Services Ltd (FxPro), a leading global retail broker in FX and CFDs, today announced its substantial financial pledge in support of Telethon 2010, the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Cyprus. Proceeds from the donation will be leveraged to increase public awareness on the problems of patients who suffer from neurological and genetic diseases, and to fund the ongoing scientific and social work carried out to improve the quality of life of those affected.
“Cyprus Telethon 2010 provides us a platform to positively affect the lives of those in our community, on a grand scale, and in support of a cause for which we hold great passion,” said Panagiotis Xydas, Chief Executive Officer of FxPro. “A core value of FxPro is giving back to all communities in which we operate. As a Cyprus-based enterprise with offices in seven countries, and a global client base spanning more than 120 countries, one could consider delivering upon that charter as a daunting task. But in any case this is a task in which we sincerely commit ourselves.”
The company’s renewed support of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics is just one component of its ongoing corporate social responsibility campaign. FxPro has projects supporting Green & Clean in Limassol, the restoration of a monastery in Burgundy, France, operations at a children’s hospital in Moscow, and the construction of a gymnasium at a children’s home in Podolsk, Russia. FxPro also deploys scholarship funds in support of young men and women pursuing professional studies at universities around the world.
