Denis Sukhotin
Chairman

Denis is a founding shareholder of FxPro and has been involved with the company from the early beginning in different areas from where he has gained an extensive knowledge of the FX Market. He is currently the Executive Chairman of FxPro Financial Services whilst at the same time he oversees all Marketing and promotional activities of the company. Denis is also one of the founders of Iron Trust Ltd. Prior to co-establishing FxPro, during the period 1998-2000 Denis was responsible for the Russian equity sales desk of Severis and Athienitis Financial Services Ltd, a large investment house in Cyprus, and introducing Russian and CIS clients to the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

Denis holds a Masters Degree in Finance and Economics from the Moscow Institute of Entrepreneurship and Law, and a Diploma in Business Administration from CTL College in Cyprus.

Charalambos Psimolophitis
Executive Director

Charalambos holds a Bachelors degree in Business and Management from King’s College of the University of London and is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst where he served as a member of the Cyprus CFA society board of directors.

In 1999 he joined Mega Equity Securities and Financial Services one of the largest retail brokers in Cyprus where he was initially head of research dealing predominantly with the Greek and Cyprus banking sector. He then moved on to set up the portfolio management department of the company and was responsible for the management of Institutional investors and high net worth individuals. In 2005 he left Mega Equity to join XS Capital Securities a boutique investment house where he was responsible for setting up the investment strategy on a number of Investment funds and was also acting as the Finance Director.

In his early years Charalambos worked as a Financial Controller at G & L Calibers a large manufacturing company in Cyprus.

He joined FxPro in October 2009 as Director of Finance leading the finance team responsible for all financial operations of the company.

Executive Director

George has a Masters degree in Finance from Golden Gate University, San Francisco California and a Bachelors in Accounting & Finance from Southbank University, in London UK. He qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst and was a member of the Cyprus CFA society board of directors.

In 1995 he trained as an equity analyst at SAFS and in 1996 he became head of analysis. He then developed the institutional sales desk where he originated and handled large foreign institutions investing in Cyprus. In 1999 he moved into corporate finance at the same firm where his responsibilities were to originate M&A and IPO transactions for the firm. In 2003 he left to setup his own boutique investment firm, XS Capital where he concentrated on sell side M&A in S.E. Europe and later setup property funds for South East Europe.

He joined FxPro in October 2009 as director of international operations overseeing the company’s international expansion.

Jim joined FxPro as non-executive chairman in July 2010. Jim was, up until mid-2008, the Group CEO of Old Mutual plc, the FTSE-100 international life insurance and asset management company with 55,000 employees and over £1bn of operating profit. Prior to Old Mutual, Jim was the Deputy Chairman of Liberty International plc and prior to that was at Prudential plc, holding a number of senior positions including that of the Chief Executive of Prudential UK. Jim is currently a Non-Executive Director of CVC Capital Partners, Lonmin plc and Sun Life of Canada.

In addition, Jim is a Director of the Financial Reporting Council and Chairman of the Actuarial Standards Board. He has a degree from the University of Cape Town and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.


Michalis Sarris photo

Michalis Sarris
Non-Executive Director

Michalis joined FxPro as a Non-Executive Director in August 2010. Over the last 35 years Michalis has held senior positions at a number of blue-chip private organisations and public bodies worldwide.

In 1972 he joined the research department of the Central Bank of Cyprus, working in the area of policy analysis, before moving to the Bank of Cyprus (1974) where he was responsible for setting up the bank's capacity for evaluating the economic and financial viability of its large lending operations. Following his time with the Bank of Cyprus, Michalis worked at the World Bank (1975 – 2004), rising to the position of Director before retiring from the post. Recent engagements also include serving a term as the Cypriot Minister of Finance (2005 – 2008).

Michalis received his BSc (Hons) in Economics from the London School of Economics, specialising in monetary theory and policy, and continued his studies in the United States at Wayne State University where he obtained a Doctorate in Economics.


Panagiotis Xydas, Chief Executive Officer

Panagiotis Xydas,

Panagiotis has an MBA in international management from Golden Gate University, San Francisco California and an associate diploma in Mergers and Acquisitions and a BA in restaurant management from the same university. Panagiotis’ entrepreneurial spirit saw him starting up in 1995 a large retail mobile telecommunications company in Cyprus which he later sold to the largest distribution network. He went on to setup in 1998 a reception and transmission brokerage firm transmitting order to the Cyprus stock exchange. In 2000, following a successful merger of the company with SAFS, a large investment house in Cyprus he setup Iron Trust which quickly became the leader in South East Europe for physical and digital records storage.

Non-Executive Director of the Group Company

Trevor joined FxPro as a Non-Executive Director at the beginning of September 2010 and brings with him over 30 years of investment experience.

He was formerly a Managing Director of Rothschild Asset Management (CI) Limited and Non-Executive Director of Rothschild Asset Management Limited, London then retired in 1999 after 27 years with the Rothschild Group.

Trevor is a Fellow of the Securities Institute in England & Wales and is a Director of a number of venture capital, hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, derivative and various other offshore funds including numerous that are listed on the London, Irish or Channel Islands Stock Exchange. Trevor is recently retired as a Director of NM Rothschild & Sons (CI) Limited (the banking arm of the Rothschild Group in the Channel Islands).

Among numerous other distinctive directorship roles, Trevor was a founding Director of Valletta, the first Fund Management Company, to be established in Malta following the introduction of Financial Services Regulations in 1995. Valletta Fund Management Limited was a joint venture between Bank of Valletta and the Rothschild Group which now has over $1 billion under management.
